DANNY O’Donoghue, 31, is the lead singer of Irish rock band The Script and a judge on The Voice. He lives in London and is dating model Irma Mali.

Not a lot of people know this but I’m very good at… photography. My girlfriend Irma is a model, and I recently had a picture of two of her friends published in a magazine.

My best friend is… Irma. We’ve been dating for four years and I think if the person you’re in a relationship with isn’t your best friend, you’re in the wrong relationship.

The bravest thing I’ve ever done is… walk out on stage in front of 60,000 people.

My nickname is… “where’s Danny?” I am the worst person in the world when it comes to staying in touch and answering the phone. Nobody can ever get hold of me.

My favourite TV show is… The Inbetweeners. The humour is great and it’s exactly like we were as kids.

My perfect evening is… usually a quiet night in, although lately I’ve been enjoying a drink or two with Tom Jones while we’ve been recording The Voice. I am such a huge fan of his.

I’d like to say sorry to… to be honest there’s a few people who need to say sorry to me – but I won’t name them just now.

My first kiss was… with a girl at school, round the back of the church. I was about nine.

My biggest regret is... not learning to read music. I’m self taught and I play everything by ear.

The one thing I’d change about myself is… nothing at all – I like myself just the way I am.

The best thing my parents taught me is… respect.

If I can, I always try to avoid… hangovers. I don’t overindulge but I still get them. Not good.

It’s not good for my image but I like… wearing a tracksuit at home.

My greatest weakness is… McDonald’s, though I have a sweet tooth as well.

If I could pass any law… it would be to make everybody love at least one song in their life.

I drive… I don’t. I want to be one of those people who gets through their entire life without having to learn.

The most expensive thing I’ve ever splashed out on is… my piano. I don’t own a flat or house yet – I’m still renting.

My perfect Sunday is... sitting on the couch in my boxers, watching Manchester United play a cup final.

My favourite place in Britain is… a tie between Manchester and London, but I think London just shades it.

I’m currently reading… Nightwatch. It’s about how to look at the stars, like a beginner’s guide to astronomy.

The best day of my life was… in August 2008 when our first album went to number one.
